JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Campaigns Manager in China will be responsible for developing and implementing the integrated marketing campaigns to achieve key business objectives through demand generation, stakeholder engagement, and candidate and member retention. This position will be responsible for planning, executing and managing various marketing campaigns to promote portfolio of products and services of CFA Institute to individual and institutional audiences. In addition, this role will help to analyze campaign performance to gain actionable insights for continuous campaign optimization.
This position will work in close partnership with the Global Marketing and China teams to contribute to the mission of CFA Institute. The position will be headquartered in Beijing and be supported by the marketing lead in China market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns including social media, SEO/SEM, email/SMS marketing, and digital advertising to promote products and services to achieve identified business goals covering whole candidate journey from prospects to candidates.
Leverage the China-specific social media/digital platforms, including but not limited to WeChat, Sina Weibo, Zhihu, and Xiaohongshu to plan and deliver targeted content through holistic and results-driven approach and aligned with the global strategy and standard.
Collaborate with regional and global agencies of record to develop digital marketing campaigns and source and manage local agencies as appropriate.
Create and deliver reports, metrics and presentations for the digital marketing campaigns.
Analyze digital channel performance across digital touchpoints including web, search, social media and email to review and improve marketing strategies.
Generate market insights, stay on top of industry trends and implement new innovative tools through research, social listening, competitive analysis and establish best practices.
Other activities as assigned by the manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a digital marketing, social media, website and content management.
Active user and enthusiastic proponent of WeChat, Xiaohongshu/RedNote, Sina Weibo and/or other leading social media sites.
Proficiency in AI-powered marketing tools such as chatbots, predictive analytics platforms, programmatic advertising, and marketing automation.
Experience in CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce) is preferred.
Experience in Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Conversion Tracking, Social Media Management platform is preferred.
Knowledge in website content management systems is preferred.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred. Knowledge of additional Asian languages is a plus.
Knowledge in written Chinese is preferred.
Excellent writing and grammatical skills along with a strong editorial voice.
Solid understanding of financial markets and a strong interest in finance.
Excellent project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
Flexibility in competently juggling competing priorities and changing expectations.
Strong interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and grace under pressure.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial.
Must demonstrate outstanding stewardship and relationship building/management skills to expand the mission of CFA Institute.
Ability to use standard office software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Global cultural orientation and working experience highly desirable.
A strong team player and good interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Energy to put in the hours of concentrated work necessary to achieve goals while maintaining a positive attitude.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional travel to CFA Institute conferences, meetings and events.
